During the microbiome Workshop he will discuss 'The armpit microbiota - a complex target for deodorants': 'In the past, the microflora of the armpit was thought to be mainly composed of Corynebacteria and Staphylococci. Lately, with new generation sequencing, there are more tests identifying gram-negative bacteria, which is unusual. There are several papers available looking at what might be there and at what percent; what they all have in common is agreeing that we have lots of Corynebacteria and Staphylococci... but the rest remains unknown.
