Evonik Business Line Silica has introduced a new specialty ingredient for the oral care industry that claims to provide a softer tooth whitening experience.Spherilex 145 boasts a spherical shape,enabling high cleaning levels with lower abrasion to dentin,enamel,fillings and other oral hardware.Its COSMOS label also makes it suitable for natural products.Shin-Etsu Chemical subsidiary Shin-Etsu Silicones of America(SESA) will showcase revolutionary new sunscreen stick formulations using its silicone technologies at the 2019 Sunscreen Symposium,held by the Florida Chapter of the Society of Cosmetic Chemists from 12-14 September.SESA will exhibit with a poster entitled’Silicone Tools: Stick Sunscreen Formulations',demonstrating the use of its silicone crosspolymer technology and phenyl modified silicone to formulate anhydrous or water-containing stick sunscreens for a fresh,sensory experience,minimal whitening and ease of application.The symposium will take place at Disney's Yacht Club in Lake Buena Vista,Florida and SESA will be on booth number 43.
