China's pig iron output growth inOctober rebounded from September, indicatinglimited overall effect so far from planned steelindustry cuts ahead of winter, and sustainingsteel raw material demand.China produced 60 million mt of pig ironlast month, up 2.3% from October 2016,according to World Steel Association data.While daily pig iron rates may have slippeda little, there could be a push to operate athigh efficiency around high steel prices andmargins.
