Colombia's Compas to ship coal on Panamax from new Pacific port

Colombian port operator Compassaid Tuesday it expects to load a firstPanamax vessel with coal in January at itsnew Aguadulce terminal, close to the port ofBuenaventura.Compas said the newly-completed terminalon the Aguadulce peninsula is a game changerfor Colombia's trade, bringing a capacity to loadvessels of up to 80,000 mt for the first time inthe Pacific, via a new system of conveyors andloading equipment.
