SGX coking coal swap volumes rise 20% in September

Traded volumes on the SingaporeExchange’s coking coal derivatives market inSeptember rose 20% month on month to 1.2million mt, the exchange said Wednesday.The coking coal derivatives market hasbeen growing significantly since January, withyear-to-date volumes for coking coal swapstraded on SGX at 11.7 million mt. This was anincrease of 111% compared to the 5.55 millionmt traded at SGX and the Chicago MercantileExchange combined in 2016.
