Whitehaven’s met coal Jul-Sep sales rise 8% on year to 620,000 mt

Australian Whitehaven Coal’sequity sales of metallurgical coal, excludingpurchased volumes, rose to 620,000 mt in theJuly-September quarter, up 8% on the year butdown 4% on the quarter, the miner said in itsquarterly report released on Tuesday.The miner achieved an average met coalprice of $128/mt during the period, whichcompares with $109/mt a year earlier and $131/mt in the June quarter, the report showed.
