Germany’s Thyssenkrupp group to split into Materials and Industrials

Thyssenkrupp plans to divide its entiregroup into two separate listed companies, theGerman company said Thursday.The plan foresees that one company will becalled Thyssenkrupp Materials and consist of thematerials business, which includes steel and rawmaterials distribution and special steelmaker ASTerni. Materials would also hold the 50% share inthe planned steel merger with Tata Steel Europe.
