Scrap prices in southern USmarkets have trailed those in the Midwestthis summer and market sources believeinternational factors are at least partly thereason for the disjointed markets.Prime scrap prices increased $10/lt in theMidwest in June and July while staying sidewaysin the South both months. Shredded scrap heldsideways in the Midwest through June and Julywhile falling $10/lt in the South in July.
