The Turkish ferrous scrap importmarket strengthened Tuesday as some millsbid up May spot cargo prices.One Baltic merchant was heard to havesold between 13,000 mt and 17,000 mt ofheavy melting scrap 1/2 (80:20) at $356/mtand 7,000-8,000 mt of shredded at $361/mt CFR, at seller's option, to an Iskenderunbasedsteelmaker, which was confirmed by asource close to the buy-side.
