Brazilian miner Vale said it expectsCarajas 65% Fe iron ore fines to command apremium of around $16-$21/dry mt over thebenchmark IODEX 62% Fe fines in 2019.The company has seen strength inpricing differentials for high grade fines,especially in the Chinese summer this yearand last. This is during a period of highsteel prices and margins, and a consequentutilization drive, along with plentiful seasonalavailability of alternative low grade iron ores,which has ignited demand for blending with low impurity feedstocks.
