Despite a continued lack oftrading activity on Thursday, bearish pricemoves in the wider steel complex led tofurther falls in import prices of ferrousscrap in Turkey.S&P Global Platts assessed Turkishimports of premium heavy melting scrap 1/2(80:20) at $315.50/mt CFR Thursday, down$3/mt from Wednesday.Market participants were reluctant tocommit to pricing for the heavy meltingscrap grade as buyers were staying outof the market, while price expectationsappeared to diverge.
