London—Molybdenum prices continued to slide on Tuesday as buyers remained absent. The Platts Daily Dealer Molybdenum Oxide assessment was $8.45- $8.60/lb on Tuesday, compared with $8.50-$8.75/lb on Monday. Sources in Asia said they had gradually lowered their offers throughout the day, but were unable to find any serious buying interest. “It is quite difficult to make a deal at the moment. The buyer wants the cheapest price and sellers are keeping their offers too high,” one Asian trader said.
