London—Atlantic met coal prices rose for the second straight day Sept. 16, as forward curve prices in the Asia-Pacific market jumped around $13/mt day on day, and sources said demand for US coal had surged. A producer source said his company had experienced a surge in demand for US coals in Q4, as some customers that had previously delayed cargoes, now wanted all their cargoes delivered and/or wished to purchase more.
