Vietnam domestic light ferrous scrap continues to drop

Singapore—Prices of domestic light scrap in southern Vietnam have fallen for a month now, on weak construction demand and lower seaborne billet and scrap prices, sources said. Bids for light grade 1-3 mm thick scrap delivered to mills in south Vietnam were in range of Dong 5,600- 5,900/kg ($237-249/ mt) Thursday, with the midpoint Dong 200/ kg lower from a week ago, excluding value added tax.
