Bearish sentiment continues, scrap/rebar futures decline

London—Scrap futures on the London Metal Exchange continued to decline over the week to Thursday, as bearish sentiment continued in the physical Turkish import scrap market. February scrap contracts fell $8/mt -- over the week to Thursday -- to $268.50/mt, while March contracts eased $6/mt over the week to $278.50/mt Thursday, moving the forward curve into a much sharper February- March contango. April contracts were down $4.50/mt over the week to Thursday to $280/mt.
