Singapore—China’s coking coal imports fell 8.1% year on year to 5.64 million mt in March mainly due to a decline in the inflow from major suppliers Mongolia and Russia, China Customs Statistics data released Tuesday showed. Imports from Mongolia plunged 98.48% year on year to 49,580 mt in March while the inflow from Russia tumbled 11.44% year on year to 369,862 mt over the same period, the data showed. But imports from Australia surged 96.36% year on year to 4.37 million mt in March.
