Atlantic met coal markets yet to see spot interest

London—Atlantic metallurgical coal markets were little changed Nov. 2, as US mining and railing costs, and longer-term production decisions, weighed on forward export availability at current low spot prices. US met coal spot prices remain relatively low since the market weakened in the second quarter and North American coal miners have reported weaker margins and profitability.
