Taiwan containerized scrap prices continue lower

Singapore—Containerized HMS scrap prices into Taiwan fell for the fifth consecutive week, as buyers remained cautious on imports, sources said Friday. S&P Global Platts daily TSI HMS I/II 80:20 containerized scrap spot price was assessed at $243/mt Friday, down $7/mt from a week ago. Offers for US origin HMS I/II 80:20 to Taiwan were heard hitting levels of $245/mt CFR Friday, but with limited response from buyers heard, as most expected possibly lower prices next week.
