Special steelmaker NLMK Verona restarts operations

London—NLMK Verona, a steel ingots and plate mill in Italy owned by Russia’s NLMK, has restarted the full production cycle, including steelmaking, an NLMK spokeswoman told S&P Global Platts. NLMK Verona suspended operations in late March. The plant is currently operating at reduced capacity due to low market activity and Italian government decrees that keep production limited to serving the most important end-user segments.
