Singapore—The Taiwanese domestic scrap market weakened further Monday as mills were heard to be taking a lead from major mini-mill Feng Hsin Iron and Steel’s cuts in scrap prices, Taiwan-based sources said. Feng Hsin reduced its bids for domestic HMS I/II 80:20 to T$7,400/mt ($246/mt), down T$200/mt from a week ago, for deliveries to its Taichung mill. The cuts become effective Tuesday.
