Seaborne iron ore prices remain flat as holidays begin in China

Singapore—Seaborne iron ore prices remained stable at the start of the Golden Week holidays on Oct. 1. S&P Global Platts assessed the 62% Fe Iron Ore Index at $123.15/ dry mt CFR North China on Oct. 1, unchanged day on day. Trading was limited with the Chinese market participants away for the Golden Week holidays. Market sources were mixed in their expectations of iron ore demand after the holidays.
