Singapore—Asian metallurgical coal prices in the premium low-vol segment retreated as buyers took time out to mull situation. S&P Global Platts assessed Premium Low Vol down $2/mt at $106/ mt FOB Australia, and PLV CFR China down $3/mt at $115/mt CFR China June 2. The metallurgical coal market saw muted trading, as buyers showed little interest in procuring seaborne coal cargoes, as bids for PMV were indicated mostly around $100/mt CFR China in North China.
