Singapore—South Korea’s Hyundai Motor Co. will supply 4,000 hydrogen-fueled trucks to China by 2025, the vehicle maker said Nov. 4. The supply of trucks comes as Hyundai Motor signed two memorandums of understanding the same day -- one with with Shanghai Electric Power Co., Shanghai Sunwise Energy Systems Co., and Shanghai Ronghe Electric Technology Financial Leasing Co., and the other with Advanced Technology & Materials Co. and HBIS Group. Under the former MOU, Hyundai Motor will supply 3,000 hydrogen fuel-cell electric trucks in the next five years to the companies in the Yangtze River Delta region, while under the latter, 1,000 of the same trucks will be supplied to companies in the Jingjinji region, also known as the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei economic zone.
