Singapore—China’s Shanxi Coking Coal Group maintained its coking coal prices across the board for the third quarter of 2020 from Q2, a company source told S&P Global Platts July 2. "Q3 prices have been agreed with steelmakers -- to hold [them] steady across the board, including premium hard coking coal with sulfur content below 1.3%, as well as high sulfur [above 1.3%] hard coking coal, fat coal, 1/3 coking and lean coal," the source said. Shanxi Coking Coal Group is China's largest coking coal producer, and its quarterly price announcement is regarded as the domestic benchmark price.
