Singapore—Asia-Pacific regional metallurgical coal PLV FOB prices edged lower July 23 while delivered prices to China were steady day on day, as market participants remained cautious while waiting for PLV tender results. S&P Global Platts assessed Premium Low Vol down 75 cents/mt at $112/mt FOB Australia July 23, while PLV CFR China was steady at $121.50/mt CFR China. A major Chinese steelmaker issued a buy tender July 23 seeking for a Panamax volume of Australian Premium Low Vol (PLV) with August laycan. The tender has not concluded at the time of publishing.
