Scrap futures on the London Metal Exchange fell sharply over the week to Thursday, with physical scrap prices edging downwards as bearish sentiment took hold of the market. March scrap contracts fell $9/mt over the week to Thursday to $278.50/mt, while April contracts fell $8/mt over the week to $279.50/mt Thursday. May contracts fell $5/ mt to $280.50/mt, forming a relatively flat contango.
