US miner Corsa's Q2 met coal prices fall, plans lower sales in second half

London—US miner Corsa Coal said second quarter coking coal sales prices fell, due to weaker demand in domestic and export markets, and the company will lower output and sales in the second half. The Pennsylvania-based company said Aug. 7 it has decided to reduce coal production and supply during depressed market conditions, and will cut operating shifts, in a quarterly statement. This will reduce met coal sales by 45%-55% in the second half of 2020, compared with the first half, Corsa said.
