London—Prices in the Turkish ferrous scrap market remained unchanged in a quiet market Tuesday despite previous expectations of trading activity this week. S&P Global Platts assessed Turkish imports of premium heavy melting scrap 1/2 (80:20) at $275.25/mt CFR Tuesday, unchanged on the day. “On both sides it is pretty silent,” one Turkish agent said. While offers were indicated at $280- $285/mt for HMS 1/2 (80:20) from the Baltics and US, buyers targets were still in the low $270s/mt, market sources said.
