Metalloinvest boosts H1 iron ore, steel output on higher productivity

London—Russian iron ore mining and steel company Metalloinvest achieved higher output volumes of all key products thanks to increased productivity and higher iron content in ore. In January-June, Metalloinvest made 20.2 million metric tons of iron ore products. The output increased by 2.6% on year driven by the processing of higher quality ore. H1 volume grew despite a 1.7% on-year decline due to maintenance at beneficiating shops in Q2, which totaled 9.9 million mt.
