Singapore—Japanese domestic scrap prices continued gaining as leading electric arc furnace mill Tokyo Steel Manufacturing raised its listed scrap bids a second time for the week ended Aug. 7, according to the company’s published figures. Bids for various scrap grades were raised by Yen 500/mt ($4.70/mt) for its Tahara, Kyushu and Utsunomiya mill, while bids for its Okayama mill remained unchanged.
