Ukraine July manganese ore concentrate output off 11.5% on year

Kyiv—Ukraine’s production of manganese ore concentrate in July decreased 11.5% year on year to 127,690 mt, Ukrainian ferroalloy producers association UkrFA said Aug. 28. July was also down from the 205,800 mt produced in June. Manganese ore, including ore concentrate and sinter, is a raw material used for production of ferroalloys. In January-July, Ukraine produced 1.01 million mt of ore concentrate and sinter, up 8.4% from 931,550 mt produced in the same period a year ago.
