South Korea's Hyundai Steel forecasts rosier H2 ahead

Singapore—South Korea’s Hyundai Steel projects that demand in the second half of 2020 will recover from H1, with the domestic car industry leading the way, the steelmaker said July 28. It forecasts the industry will produce about 1.86 million vehicles in H2, up 17.7% from 1.58 million vehicles over H1, although the total 3.44 million vehicles for 2020 will be lower than the 3.95 million vehicles made in 2019.
