摘要

Singapore—Japan’s demand for construction steel is expected to fall in May as several leading domestic construction companies announced sites to stop work in response to the extended area coverage of the now nationwide state of emergency, which resulted from the COVID-19 pandemic. Big construction brands like Daiwa House, Kajima Corp., Obayashi Corp., Shimizu Corp., Taisei Corp., and Toda Corp., have all announced stoppage of construction activities till at least May 6.
