A Venezuela-origin cargo was booked on Nov 4 by an Izmir mill, with 25,000 mt HMS 1/2 (80:20) at $290/mt CFR, for first half Dec shipment. Sources put value for US-origin HMS 1/2 (80:20) at $294- $295/mt CFR relative to the cargo. “We'll see several purchases soon by the larger mills as they always prefer to have one to two months of stock,” a Turkish mill source said, citing a tradable value at $293-$297/mt CFR for premium HMS 1/2 (80:20).
