Sao Paulo—Spot prices for Brazilian merchant pig iron have softened for the second consecutive week Oct. 30 with few remaining transactions at lower levels. Brazilian producers were asking this week for $355/mt FOB to US, while offers to other regions were heard up to $365/mt FOB on limited availability for December, and talks for January shipments ongoing with Chinese buyers.
