SGX iron ore futures trading volume rises 2.3% on month in Dec

Singapore—The Singapore Exchange, or SGX, said Thursday that 106 million mt of iron ore futures traded on the exchange in December, up 2.3% on the month. SGX also reported that 1.7 million mt of iron ore lump traded in December, up 22.9% on the month. Average open interest for iron ore futures rose 1% on the month to 60 million mt in December.
