Turkish scrap prices stable on pre-christmas booking

London—Import prices for Turkish scrap were unchanged Monday on the back of a late Friday booking. S&P Global Platts assessed Turkish imports of premium heavy melting scrap 1/2 (80:20) at $301/mt CFR Friday, unchanged day on day. One Baltic recycler sold a 25,000 mt cargo to a small Iskenderun induction furnace, including HMS 1/2 (80:20) at $303/mt, shred at $308/mt and bonus at $313/mt CFR in a deal concluded Friday. The deal was confirmed as shipment for the second half of February.
