The latest S&P Global Platts Scrap and Rebar Market Survey showed that market participants remained divided over the coming month’s price expectations for Turkish import scrap, but more decisively bullish for Turkish rebar. Price expectations for scrap remained mixed, with 38% of market participants expecting scrap price gains to continue into November, while an equal proportion of respondents expected scrap prices to decline over the coming month. The remaining 24% of the participants were expecting the price to stabilize around current levels.
