London—Scrap futures contract prices over the week ending Thursday saw their largest weekly increase since January, suggesting future traders are now expecting a higher price ceiling for physical scrap. December scrap future contracts on the London Metal Exchange climbed as much as $17.50/mt on week, up to $269/mt on Thursday, up from $251.50/mt one week earlier. The front- month November contracts rose $13.50/mt over the week to $269.50/mt Thursday.
