摘要

Weakness persisted for Asian seaborne iron ore on Wednesday as the market saw little end-user demand. S&P Global Platts assessed the 62% Fe Iron Ore Index at $84.05/dry mt CFR North China, down $2.90/dmt on day. The frontmonth April TSI swap was down $2.75/dmt from Tuesday at $82.55/dmt. Market sources observed that enduser demand remained lukewarm towards seaborne iron ore cargoes, as mills' profitability continues to be under pressure. Furthermore, in light of the ongoing environmental restrictions in northern China, many mills were keeping a light feedstock inventory and were only buying what’s necessary from ports.
