Sao Paulo—Domestic ferrous scrap prices in Brazil reached mid-December with stable prices with demand improving as mills restart purchases. Market participants expected prices to have reached the bottom. S&P Global Platts assessed Brazilian clean steel scrap, or busheling, at Real 697.50/mt ($170/mt) on Monday, stable week on week. The tradable range of offers, bids and deals was Real 690-705/mt, free-on- truck, or FOT, no taxes included.
