South32's IMC Jul-Sep met coal output up 9% on year

Sydney—Australian miner South32’s Illawarra Metallurgical Coal (IMC) business’s production surged in the July-September quarter, while it maintained its guidance for fiscal 2019-2020 (July-June), South32 said Thursday in its quarterly activities report. IMC produced a total of 2.08 million mt in the three months, up 9% year on year and 30% from the April-June period, it said.
