Evraz Q3 steel sales steady despite lower output

Russian mining and steel company Evraz reported Friday its July-September crude steel production declined 3.4% quarter on quarter, although its steel sales over the same period remained stable. Evraz made 3.38 million mt of steel in the July-September quarter. Its output during the first nine months period of 2019 totaled 10.37 million mt, rising 4.5% year on year. In both periods, company's Russian mills accounted for 87% of the crude production with the balance provided by its US plants.
