Vale still selling IOCJ iron ore cargoes from Oman port site

Brazilian mining giant Vale continued this week to sell cargoes of its flagship Carajas IOCJ 65% Fe fines product loaded out of its port complex in Sohar, Oman, where it has a pellet plant, bringing total spot sales from there over the past two weeks to 575,000 mt. Vale typically exports pellets and not its Brazilian fines product for spot sales from Sohar. Shipments loading from Oman, rather than from northeastern Brazil, may help shave several weeks in voyages to Asia to meet demand for high grade fines.
