Japan ferrous scrap hammered ahead of kanto tender

Tokyo’s leading EAF mill, Tokyo Steel Manufacturing, continued to slash domestic ferrous scrap prices in Japan with a second price cut this week, market sources said. The company lowered prices for all grades of domestic scrap, to all four of its mills in Japan, by Yen 500/mt ($4.70/ mt), effective September 6, the company announced.
