Us steel scrap imports dip in February on fewer Canadian tons

The US imported 336,039 mt of scrap in February, down from 465,905 mt in January, and a one-year low on reduced arrivals from Canada. Canada supplied 218,656 mt of the February total, the lowest monthly volume from the country since October 2016 (216,092 mt.) Over a quarter of the February tons from Canada, 67,525 mt, were prime grades, primarily landing in Detroit.
