European scrap cargoes land in US in December

Multiple bulk shipments of ferrous scrap arrived into the US in December, according to data analyzed by S&P Global Platts. On December 8, just over 30,000 mt of auto bundles and industrial busheling scrap landed in the Port of Mobile, Alabama from Sweden. The consignee was Swedishbased global scrap merchant, Stena Metal International. Three days later a 29,000 mt cargo of prime scrap (busheling) arrived into Charleston, South Carolina from the Netherlands. The consignee was US-based shipping agency Biehl & Co. LP Carolina Shipping, according to data from Panjiva, a division of S&P Global Market Intelligence.
