Asia met coal prices slip lower; PLV demand seen

Singapore—Seaborne metallurgical coal prices slipped lower on new bookings and also on lower offers Monday. S&P Global Platts assessed Premium Low Vol down $3/mt to $146/mt CFR China, and the PLV FOB Australia prices were down $3/mt at $133/mt Monday. Three trades were reported done late last week in China. All of the trades were done to Chinese end-users. A Panamax shipment of an Australian Premium Low Vol Peak Downs was concluded late Friday at $147/mt CFR China with end-December laycan. This was done with a major Chinese steelmaker.
