Import prices for Turkish scrap were little changed Wednesday as few players actively engaged in the market. S&P Global Platts assessed Turkish imports of premium heavy melting scrap 1/2 (80:20) at $240.50/mt CFR Wednesday, down 50 cents/mt from Tuesday.Several price indications were heard in the market, narrowing the currently workable pricing range. A Benelux-based offer was heard at $238/ mt CFR into Turkey, which was considered to be a “good sales price for all sellers,” by one Turkish agent for a Benelux recycler amid sluggish buying interest from Turkish buyers.
