Turkish rebar margins continued to be heavily depressed Tuesday amid a slow local domestic market and sluggish export sales demand. Though the margins have been depressed since last few weeks, its recovery remained unlikely. On Tuesday, the Turkish rebar melting margin — the spread between export rebar and import scrap — stood at $161/mt CFR, with Turkish rebar at $482.50/mt FOB and the heavy melting scrap grade assessed at $321.50/mt CFR.
